I think I’ve found something that qualifies as an “Atlanta thing”! The Atlanta History Center is hosting “Party with the Past” and it sounds amazing.
Party with the Past will focus on the unique culture and history of Southern food and will be held on the History Center’ s 1840s Smith Family Farm. Charleston-based food writer, photographer, and blogger Brys Stephens will be on hand to discuss his latest book The New Southern Table: Classic Ingredients Revisited. Brys will talk about the importance of food and cooking in Southern culture while museum interpreters prepare recipes from The New Southern Table in the farm kitchen.
