August goals check-in

So, I’m slightly behind here. Better late than never! Looking at this list, it feels like I didn’t accomplish much, but I finished two freelance projects that sucked up a lot of time.

  • 10 projects. I glittered my makeup brush holder. It’s sparrrrkly.

3.5/10 = 35%

  • Save $2500.

2250/2500 = 90%

  • Pay down credit card #2. Another $350.

$3598 this year.

  • Drink 64 oz. of water a day. Not so much. Been a rough month. I’m still having at least some water every day, which is (somewhat horrifyingly) better than it’s been in the past.
  • Drink less soda. See above.
  • Lose 45 lbs. See above?

  • Reduce procrastination. I’m doing pretty well with this overall. I’m supposed to teach a writing class at work that I’m dreading, though, so I’m dragging my feet on that. I’ve got an outline and will kick it into high gear this week.
  • Do one thing each month that makes my life easier. I finished a lingering freelance project that had been going on for years. It was rough, and I was working on it for about 20 hours/week, but it’s over!
  • Connect with people more. Knitting Skypes! Visited people!

  • Go to a museum.

  • Pay off Kia car loan.
  • Pay off one credit card.
  • Budget/raise.
  • Read 20 books: Does editing that freelance book count? But seriously. Is a Harry Potter book the last thing I finished reading? That feels like so long ago.
